Between 2013 and 2020, James Hannigan – together with friend and industry colleague John Broomhall – founded the conferences GAME MUSIC CONNECT and SCREEN MUSIC CONNECT, held annually for four years at London’s Southbank Centre. These sold-out events brought together numerous industry luminaries through interviews and panel discussions, aiming to educate aspiring composers while fostering connections among established professionals. Partners included BAFTA, PRS for Music, Classic FM, The Ivors Academy, PlayStation, Electronic Arts, Music Week and others.

Attracting attendees from around the world, the all-day events became established fixtures on the composer calendar, but concluded due to COVID-19 disruption and were not resumed.
